Resolved: Apple Pay at checkout

Apple Pay works again at checkout. Apple Pay payments succeed again since 07:20 UTC.

Cause: a downstream issue that followed a move between Apple Pay registration types. It made most Apple Pay payments fail from 13 October, 20:00 UTC. We re-registered the affected domain, and this fixed it.

A small number of merchant custom checkout domains still need the same fix. We are fixing them today. Card and Google Pay work on all domains.

No customer was charged for a failed Apple Pay payment. Card payments, Google Pay and subscription renewals were not affected.

Resolved: Apple Pay at checkout

Apple Pay works as normal at checkout since 07:20 UTC.

Between 13 October 20:00 UTC and 14 October 07:20 UTC, most Apple Pay payments failed. We disabled Apple Pay at 07:06 UTC. We restored it by re-registering our Apple Pay domain.

Customers whose Apple Pay payment failed in this window can pay again now. They were not charged for the failed payments.

Card and Google Pay payments were not affected. Subscription renewals on saved Apple Pay cards were not affected.

We will post the cause here when we confirm it.
